How to change the appearance and apply it

  1. Open AppearanceIn the app navigation, select "Appearance".
  2. Choose your settingsSet the preset, colors, shape, icon size, and whether to show the label and its text.
  3. Check the previewThe live preview on the right updates right away with your colors, shape, text, and label setting.
  4. SaveClick "Save". The message "Saved. Your storefront has been updated." appears, and the changes go live on your storefront. Nothing changes in your store until you save. To undo your changes, click "Reset to defaults" to return every setting to its default value.

After you save, it may take up to about 5 minutes for the changes to show in your store.

Rules for label text

Label text can't be empty and can be up to 30 characters. If there's a problem with your entry, "Please check your input" appears at the top of the screen.

Editing Japanese and English text

In Appearance, you can only edit the label text for the language your app admin is currently shown in. With a Japanese admin, you edit the text for Japanese storefronts. With an English admin, you edit the text for English storefronts. To change the English text, switch your admin language to English, then open Appearance. If your storefront language is Japanese, the Japanese text is used. For any other language, the English text is used.

Which wins: theme editor settings or app settings?

Appearance settings are applied in this order of priority: the block's own settings in the theme editor, then Appearance in the app admin, then the default values. The "Favorite button" block on the product page has a "Follow app settings" option, which is on by default. While it's on, the app admin settings are used. To use an accent color just for that block, turn this option off. The "Collection favorite" block on the collection page has no settings and always follows the app admin settings.

Settings for hearts on cards

Hearts on cards use one setting for the whole theme. There are no per-page settings. When turned on, a heart appears in the top right corner of every card that shows a product. The position may differ depending on your theme.
