What's the difference between the redisplay options?
| Setting | Behavior |
|---|---|
| 「再表示しない」 (Never show again) | Once closed or clicked, it is not shown again in that browser. |
| 「指定日数の経過後に再表示する」 (Show again after a set number of days) | Shows it again once the set number of days (1 to 365) has passed since it was closed. |
| 「セッションごとに表示する(再訪問時に表示)」 (Show once per session, on return visits) | Not shown again during the same visit; shown again when the visitor closes the browser and comes back. |
| 「毎回表示する」 (Show every time) | Shown on every page the visitor moves to, as long as the display conditions are met. |
How is the same visitor identified?
One browser on one device is treated as the same visitor. Another device, another browser, a private (incognito) window, or a browser after its data has been cleared is treated as a new visitor. It is not based on store customer accounts.
When does the total display count reset?
The total count has no time window such as "1 week": it counts over the entire period the data is stored in that browser. To make the popup showable again, reset the hidden state from the admin.
What changes when I reset the hidden state?
On the edit page, click 「非表示状態をリセット」 (Reset hidden state), then select 「リセットする」 (Reset) on the confirmation screen. This button appears on the edit page of popups that have already been saved. Every customer who closed the popup will see it again from their next visit.
The closed state, the total display count, and the A/B test assignment are all cleared. After a reset, even the same browser is treated as starting fresh, so check how it will affect any running test before you reset.
