How to add structured data
- Turn on the app embedIn your Shopify admin, click Online Store in the left menu to open the Themes page. Click "Edit theme" (shown as "Customize" on some screens) on your current theme to open the theme editor. (If your admin uses another language, the menu may briefly show the English name "Online Store" while the page loads.) Under App embeds on the left, turn on "AIO Structured Data", then click Save in the top right. Your theme code is not edited.
- Enable Product / Offer on the "Structured data" pageWhen you click "Enable" for Product / Offer on the "Structured data" page, structured data is created in the background, one by one, for all products with Active status. After that, it updates automatically when you update a product. You can also start from "Auto-implement" in the dashboard's issue list.
- Check breadcrumb and organization outputBreadcrumbList and Organization / WebSite are turned on or off with the checkboxes in the settings of the "AIO Structured Data" app embed. Organization / WebSite is off by default. Turn it on if your theme does not already have the same schema type. Before turning it on, check after your first scan that the "Structured data" page does not show "Existing schema detected in theme".
- Check your live pages and run a new scanStructured data is not shown on your store pages, so run a new scan and check whether the issue passes. You can also enter a product page URL in Google's Rich Results Test.
The Free plan includes scans (diagnosis) only. Adding structured data requires Starter or above. Every plan from Starter up can output the same types: Product / Offer, FAQPage, breadcrumbs (BreadcrumbList), and Organization / WebSite. For FAQPage, the FAQs you approved in AI FAQ are output.
Even if you enable a type on the "Structured data" page, no structured data is output to your store while the "AIO Structured Data" app embed is turned off in your theme.
Which schema types are supported?
Structured data (JSON-LD) is information embedded in your pages that helps search engines and AI understand your store and products correctly. A schema is a type of structured data. The types are Product (the product), Offer (price and stock), BreadcrumbList (where a page sits in your site), Organization (your store's details), WebSite (the whole site), and FAQPage (frequently asked questions).

The schema types you can output are the same on every plan. All paid plans from Starter up can output every type in the table above. The Free plan cannot output any. This app does not output product ratings (aggregateRating).
What if my theme already has JSON-LD?
When a scan finishes, if your theme already outputs the same type of structured data and that type is turned off in the app, the "Structured data" page shows "Existing schema detected in theme" for it. For that type, either leave it turned off in the app, or stop the theme's output first and then enable it.
Make sure the same type of structured data is not output by both your theme and the app. For BreadcrumbList and Organization / WebSite, check the checkboxes in the app embed settings.
How do I stop the output?
- To reliably stop Product / Offer output, uncheck 「Product / Offer スキーマを出力」 (Output Product / Offer schema) for "AIO Structured Data" under App embeds in the theme editor, or turn off the app embed itself. "Disable" on the "Structured data" page only stops future re-creation. Structured data that was already written is not removed, and output does not stop.
- For BreadcrumbList, Organization / WebSite, and FAQPage, uncheck the matching checkbox in the app embed settings.
Turning off the app embed or deleting the app stops all output. Because your theme code is not edited, no app code is left in your theme.
