How to add the app block
- Open the theme editorIn the left menu of your Shopify admin, click Online Store to open the Themes page. Click "Edit theme" (shown as "Customize" on some screens) on your current theme to open the theme editor. If your Shopify admin is set to another language, the menu name may briefly appear in English as "Online Store" while the page loads. The app's "Getting started" page also has a button that opens the theme editor directly on the article template.
- Open the Blog posts templateFrom the selector at the top center, choose Blog posts, then Default blog post.
- Add the blockIn the Blog post section on the left, click Add block, open Apps, and choose "Author Profile - Supervisor / Author". If Apps doesn't appear, your theme may be older and not support app blocks.
- Adjust the position and saveDrag the block to a place that's easy for readers to find, such as below the article content, then click Save in the top right.
What if I have multiple templates?
If only some articles don't show the profile, check whether those articles use the default article template. For articles that use a different blog post template, add the app block to that template too. To see which template an article uses, open the article's edit page in your Shopify admin and check the Theme template field.
How do I adjust what's shown and the design?
Select the app block in the theme editor to set the following:

| Headings | The defaults are 「この記事の監修者」 (Supervisor of this article) and 「この記事の著者」 (Author of this article). |
| Show social links | Choose whether to show social links. Social links are shown only on the Pro plan. |
| Layout | Choose Left border (default), Card (outlined), Filled, or Minimal (no border). |
| Alignment | Choose Left (photo beside) or Center (photo on top). |
| Photo shape and photo size | Choose Circle, Rounded, or Square, and set the size from 48 to 140px (default 90px). |
| Corner radius | Set how rounded the corners of the whole card are, from 0 to 24px. |
| Colors | Set the accent color, background color, and text color. |
On the Free plan, only show/hide and headings are applied. Layout, alignment, photo shape and size, corner radius, and colors use the default design. "Powered by Author Profile" is also shown. On the Standard plan or higher, all design settings are applied and "Powered by Author Profile" is no longer shown.
If you set a custom accent color for a person on the Pro plan, that person's color takes priority over the theme editor color on their articles. After making changes, save and check that the block is easy to read on smartphones too.
