How do I automate with Shopify Flow?
The app adds two triggers to Flow: 「お気に入りが追加された」 (Favorite added) and 「お気に入りが削除された」 (Favorite removed). 「お気に入りが追加された」 also fires once for each favorite saved during the transfer at login. You can use details such as customer and product information, the favorite type (product or collection), the customer's total number of favorites, and where the action happened as conditions. There is also a restock trigger, 「お気に入り商品が再入荷した」 (Favorited product back in stock) (see "How do restock alerts work?" below).
Example combinations:
- When a favorite is added and the product tag is "sale", add a customer tag
- When a favorite is added and the customer has 10 or more favorites in total, send a Slack notification or add a VIP customer tag
- When a favorite is removed, log it in a spreadsheet
On the Free and Basic plans, the triggers don't fire.
How do automatic customer tags work?
A tag is added when a customer has 1 or more favorites (products and collections combined), and removed automatically when they have 0. On the Marketing screen, use the customer tags card to turn this on or off ("Apply customer tags automatically") and set the tag name ("Tag to apply"). The default tag name is 「お気に入りあり」 (has favorites).
Changing the tag name doesn't remove the old tag from customers who already have it. Shopify allows up to 250 tags per customer, so customers who already have 250 tags can't be tagged. Tag names can't contain commas and can be up to 50 characters.
How do restock alerts work?
When a favorited product goes from out of stock back to in stock, an alert event is created for each customer who favorited it. The app doesn't send emails itself. Emails are sent through Shopify Flow (and Shopify Email) or Klaviyo. The same customer isn't alerted again about the same product within 14 days.
- Send with Shopify Flow (Pro and higher)
- Use the 「お気に入り商品が再入荷した」 (Favorited product back in stock) trigger to send restock emails with Shopify Flow and Shopify Email. You set up the email content in Flow.
- Send with Klaviyo (Plus)
- A "Back in Stock" event is sent to Klaviyo. You set up the email in a Klaviyo flow.
An alert event is created only when a product changes from out of stock to in stock. It isn't created the first time the app checks the product's stock, or when stock goes down.
What do I set up in Marketing?
On the Plus plan, you can send information about favorites being added, removed, and transferred at login to external tools, such as email marketing tools, through Klaviyo or a webhook. Set this up in "Marketing" in the app navigation.
- Klaviyo
- Turn on "Enable Klaviyo integration" and enter your Klaviyo Private API Key. After you save, the key is masked and can't be shown again. Enter it again only if you want to change it. If you save with the field empty, the key already set stays in use. The app sends "Added to Favorites" and "Removed from Favorites" events, and syncs a list of favorited products the customer hasn't bought yet to their profile. Products are removed from the list once purchased.
- Webhook
- Turn on "Enable webhook delivery" and enter the destination URL (https only). When you turn it on, a signing secret is created automatically and shown on screen. Set it on the receiving side.
When you click "Regenerate secret", the old secret stops working immediately. Update the receiving side at the same time.
Only favorites from logged-in customers are sent. For customers who aren't logged in, favorites are included from the moment they log in and their favorites are transferred. If sending fails, it isn't retried. On plans other than Plus, these settings can't be changed. The Klaviyo and webhook settings are saved together with "Save" at the bottom of the screen.
How do I import data from another app?
- Open Data importIn the app navigation, select "Data import".
- Download the sample CSVClick "Download sample CSV" on the screen and check the format.
- Prepare and upload your CSVWrite one "email address, product handle" pair per row. If the second column contains only numbers, it's treated as a product ID. A header row in the first line is skipped automatically. Each upload can have up to 5,000 rows and be up to 2MB.
- Check the resultsThe screen shows how many rows were imported, skipped as duplicates, had no matching customer, had no matching product, or were cut off by the limit.
Export your data before uninstalling the app you're moving from. Favorites from customers who aren't logged in are stored on their devices, so they can't be imported. Rows with customers or products that don't exist are skipped. Imported favorites also count for Shopify Flow triggers, automatic customer tags, and syncing to Klaviyo.
Can customers add items to the cart from the account page?
On the Plus plan, customers can add items to the cart from product cards on the account page. After adding, they go to your store's cart page. For products with options such as size or color, customers can choose from in-stock options right on the account page and add the item. Customers can choose several products with "Select for bulk buy" on each product, then add them all at once with "Bulk buy: add N selected to cart" below the list. Sold-out products don't show cart options. The quantity is 1, and customers can change it on the cart page.
